Jamelle McKenzie 4 College Park represented the
City of College Park Government at the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s annual SWAC Women's
Basketball Media Day at the Georgia International Convention Center. The event featured all 12 league head coaches and two student-athletes from each member institution and was broadcast live on ESPN+.
This is the first time in history the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will host its Women’s Basketball Tournament in the state of Georgia.
In 2025 a total of ten teams are scheduled to participate in the tournament and in 2026 all twelve teams in the league are scheduled to participate in the tournament.
The tournament is apart of a multi-year agreement to bring the event to the City of College Park and Gateway Arena.
