Fire/EMS Training Division

Training is a vital component to fire department operations, and we pride ourselves on having a department that is comprised of highly trained, experienced employees looking to serve the community. The department provides a full range of customer care to our residents and visitors. Our citizens enjoy exemplary fire and life safety services provided by our firefighters and paramedics 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Fire Training and EMS Training Divisions work closely together to provide intense, up-to-date fire and medical service training. Newly hired recruit firefighters at College Park Fire Rescue receive training and instruction by our training division prior to being assigned to a fire station. Training for all firefighters is a constant, ongoing process in order to meet the requirements from OSHA, NFPA, Department of Health Services, and the needs of the community.

Our training is very well rounded and encompasses engine and truck company operations, emergency medical services, hazardous materials, rescue practices,
and firefighter safety. The Department also participates in regular training with other local mutual aid departments for fires and other emergencies.
