Multipurpose Event Facility Design Presentation, Electronic Billing Technologies Coming Soon!

College Park's plans to construct a multipurpose entertainment facility next to the Georgia International Convention Center involve vetting conceptual designs.  Much of the groundwork is underway to discover exact construction location, settings and design, while staff remain involved in day-to-day planning efforts.  Efforts are underway to finalize a timeline for construction, as well as a public unveiling of the architecture.

The College Park Police Department continues to develop new methods to reduce crime, while engaging with citizens as part of its preventive strategy.  Chief Keith Meadows is currently directing staff to create technologies which may include apps that compile statistics to be shared with staff during daily roll-call, and possibly with citizens.  It is the belief of PD leadership that certain apps, combined with social media may have the broader effect of reducing crime, as well as to improve perception of safety in College Park.

The College Park Customer Service Department, under the guidance of Finance and Accounting, is currently developing processes to enable both electronic billing and account reviews for customers of College Park utilities.  This new technology offering is designed to shorten your trip to City Hall for payment, as well as to allow citizens who desire a more advanced analytical examination of utility trends to be able to scope their home usage for a designated time period.  Additionally, the installation of wi-fi capable utility meters has been completed.
